On 1 July 2009, the Syngenta Horticultural Seeds team (Rogers S&G) organised a product presentation symposium in the town of Pichanal, in the province of Salta. The event was attended by technicians and key producers in the area. The new Silverio and Tyerno tomato varieties and the Gastón and Ultrasónico pepper varieties were presented.

The symposium opened with a lecture by the Agricultural Engineer, Joaquín Otero, Product Development Manager at Syngenta, who outlined the technical characteristics of the two new tomato varieties recommended for the area and for the different transplant periods.
Following this, the Agricultural Engineers Joaquín Otero and Christian Canova, Sales Manager at Syngenta, presented the following new pepper varieties.
A key feature of this symposium was the enriching exchange of knowledge that it aroused between those present on the subject of production and crop management issues.
